The Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference (NWBC) 2008, held in Stockholm, was a great success. It attracted more than 200 participants from all over the world and met a much longed for need, at a time when the forest industry is looking for new and sustainable business opportunities. The second conference, NWBC 2009, was held in Helsinki on 2 - 4 September with more than 300 participants attending. The ball has been set rolling.
